Larry H. Stevens, M.D., FACS

stevensLarry H. Stevens is an Indiana native and received degrees from Indiana University and the Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed his General Surgery residency at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Subsequently, he undertook subspecialty training which included complex hepatobiliary surgery and transplantation at the University of Chicago.

Honors

He graduated from medical school with the highest honors and was also elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. As a graduating senior, he won the Marcus Ravdin award for highest Academic Achievement and graduated as Valedictorian of his Senior Class.

Interests

Since entering practice, he has pursued an ongoing postgraduate education in advanced laparoscopic surgery. He maintains both clinical and research interests in advanced laparoscopic procedures. Dr. Stevens is certified by the American Board of Surgery. He holds an appointment as a Clinical Assistant Professor in Surgery at Indiana University's School of Medicine. He serves on the faculty of a national training program for instruction of advanced laparoscopic procedures. He has presented at numerous national and international meetings, has written book chapters, journal articles and numerous abstracts.
